THE SOLDIERS SOLILOQUY,
Free is my heart, and just my cause,
My trusty sword I've girded on,
To fight for truth and George's laws;
A coward's back I'll turn to none.
. . . [[5 verses]
Resolv'd to view encroached lands,
With drum and trumpet's martial sounds,
Cannon and mortars grace our bands,
Which now are march'd to fix your bounds.
